Waterproof roofing systems

Used for roofs, walkways, and exposed areas. The resin is a free flowing elastic polyurethane resin, containing no solvents, and is used for long term waterproofing.
The usage of liquid roofing has been around since at least the 1800's when natural bitumen was mixed with straw and other available materials to create a waterproof solution for roofs.

The 1960's and 1970's saw the introduction of acrylics, acrylic emulsions, styrene butadienes and unsaturated polyesters. The mid 70's saw the use of water based elastomeric roof coatings, and by the 1980's the beginnings of what we have today began to emerge with the use of single component moisture-cured polyurethane.

Installation of liquid waterproof roofing

S●Flex LQ consists of 2 components that require simple slow speed mixing before application. S●Flex is suitable for concrete, sand & cement screed, timber, tissue faced insulation boards and metal. It is normally applied as a single coat system but where extra UV resistance is required a further coat may be necessary. If it was to be used as an overlay it can be installed after the surface is properly prepared directly on top of bituminous felt and mastic asphalt, with no need for initial priming.
